AdSense for Content comes in a range of different forms, types and formats, from simple, small link units to large video ads. But all of those different kinds of units represent only one of the seven AdSense products that Google provides. It’s a product that’s intended to run alongside website content and use algorithms to match ad inventory to the subject matter on the page.

It’s the product you’re likely to use the most and generate the most income for you.

Beside the Banner Ads, Google also offers six different kinds of rectangular ads: buttons (125 x
125), small rectangles (180 x 150), medium rectangles (300 x 250),
large rectangles (336 x 280), and two sizes of squares 250 x 250 and 200
x 200.

Although, all of the rectangles can be slotted into the same spots on the page...
with the exception of the button.

The most use of rectangles is at the beginning of articles.
You can wrap the text around the ad, forcing the reader to look at it if someone
wants to read the article. That's a good idea.

It will be best if you start with the large rectangle, the 336 x 280. The studies have shown that this format looks most like the real content added to a page. I have also tested it with other rectangular ads but this one earns the most.

The Second best is 300 x 250 rectangle.

The ad size is the perfect one when you are trying to put two same ad blocks side by side. This ads fit perfectly on almost every pages.

Buttons should generally be used in a different way to other rectangles. Like the half-banners, they’re distinctive for their small size. While that means you could slot them in anywhere, I think they work best when slipped into the sidebars.

 

For example, you might have a list of links to frequently-read articles or other sites on one side of your page. Putting a button ad at the end of a list like that could help it to blend in well. The final types of text ads are those that run vertically. These come in three sizes: skyscraper (120 x 600), wide skyscraper (160 x 600) and vertical banner (120 x 240). Clearly, these are useful options for filling up the sides of the page.

It is also recommend using the 'wide skyscraper', text-only ads on the right hand edge of the screen — in conjunction with the 3-Way Matching.

Because most people are right handed, and even left-handed People control their mouse with their right hand —it's just what we’re used to doing. Placing the ads on the right side of the page creates less distance
between the right hand and the screen. This 'closeness' makes the user feel more comfortable and therefore more likely to click through to a link. They feel more in control of their visit experience.

Text Ads

Users are most familiar with the Text ads. They can look like a box with a Bold Title, a brief description along with a URL.You can also see a notice "AdChoice" to the bottom corner on the Adsense ads.

This ads come with twelve different types. There are vertical units and horizontal units, square units and rectangular units, large units and small units.

You don't have to use all the ads at a time but you have to earn which ad units are the most earner for your website. It may vary to site to site, so it will be better that you start experimenting with them.

Popular Ad Units

One of the most popular ad unit id leaderboard. The size of this ad unit is 728 x 90. It can fit perfectly on almost every site. This ad unit shows across the screen so it can bring attention of the visitors. It's mostly placed at the top of the page, above the main text.

You can put this ad any where you want. Putting a leaderboard ad in between two post can also be effective and worth trying. In the other hand you can also use banner ads and half banner ads. They blends into your website completely and can gave to some clicks.

Many adsense publishers don't put a leaderboard at the bottom of the page. As Google shows in their ad heat map that it can also make money if you put leaderboard at  the bottom. But you have to make sure that your reader are going  to each the bottom of the page to click. Specially for long pages.

Overall you can track the report that the bottom ad is making money or not.

Leaderboards works perfectly on the top of your webpage blend in the page, some time ad in_between two posts can be effective.

Banners (468 x 60) and half-banners (234 x 60) are  the smaller version of leaderboard. 

You can place two half banner ads instead of one banner ad. It can get blend into your content easily. You can also interchange them. Put a leaderboard for a week or so, swap it for a banner for next week and compare the result that which is earning you the most. 

But at the top of the page its useful that you put a leaderboard. It will do better than others.

Though the half-banner ads blend into content very easily for their small size, it also leave too much space on a page. So people might get alert about those ads and will not click on them.

When you are looking for an ad to put in the middle of the page of if you are using a narrow text area, then a half-banner might work for you perfectly.

Adsense started with only one facility:  as content ads that placed text ads with search result and articles. But as it grows, Google started offering different types of facilities.

That provides for a huge opportunity. and people can earn some extra money from them. But first you have to you will to understand them to maximize the revenues from your site.

                 Among all,this is the most dangerous think who clicks there own ads or crate program to do so. It's possible to generate few bucks through all this but always remember that Advertisers are paying for those clicks. Clicking on your own ads will cost them money and Google will not tolerate this own clicks. So you might lose your Adsense Money.

After you are done with your website, now it comes the main part- ADSENSE. Yes its time to make money with adsense.

            If you are using Blogger.com then you will be able to join Adsense from within there promgram. First, try to put a Adsense code to your blogger and you will be asked to create a Adsense account. Give all the information correctly and submit your form. But if you already have a Adsense account then just login with it.

While signing up for Adsense, it will ask for some information which are very much important.

             First, you have to put the 'Primary' site on which you want to show ads. If you have more than one site, then it Will be better that you put the site which has the highest number of traffic and content.              Next you will then see two check boxes. One of them is for  that you won't placing ads on the pornographic content and the other one is that you agree not to place ads on sites that include incentives to click on ads.


             At the bottom you will also have to agree that not to 'Click on the Google Ads I'm serving through Adsense'.

             This are the most important part that you always have to follow.

              If you click on your own ads even to see that they are working or not- will cost your advertisers money. And  they have to pay for each click. But Google can track those clicks that you are doing you self. While it will take few MISTAKES into account, this clicks are deducted from your payments.

              But if you continue clicking your own ads or
 forcing others to click can end up with Banning your account with all your money.

 

After completing your website information, you have to provide you contact information through which Google can contact you if necessary. 

                    You also have to select the individual ( for one person) account or company (more then 1 person). 

                     Put your address Properly the. Because Google will send you the money to the address that you are providing to your adsense account. So you have to be careful or else your check will be delivered to someone else.

                     After all this you need to click Submit to send all your data to google for review.  verification link will be given to your Gmail account.

                     After completing the verifcation by click on the verification link, Google will start reviewing your information that you gave.

                      It may take 2-3 days to verify. After that a mail will be send to your inbox about saying that whether you got approved by Adsense or not.
